One of the simplest advice from my painting teacher is to have some scratch paper next to you to test how the color looks before you lay down paint. Flashback to when I was painting this lovely girl who just lights up the room with her warm smile. (Feeling sentimental when I see pix of her going to prom already, @marthasdisciple !)
